Meet Carli!
A native of Utica, Carli began her career with United Way MV in September 2016 as a Development Coordinator. She’s been involved in nonprofit work for 11 years, and now oversees the Resource Development team while also leading United Way’s affinity group for young professionals in the Mohawk Valley, Emerging Leader United (ELU).

A graduate of St. John Fisher College with a B.A. in Communications, and an Advanced Certificate in Non-Profit Management, Kari began her career with United Way MV in July 2019. She’s been serving this community’s homeless population for 9 years, building strong relationships with service providers along the way, and loves being able to assist those in need.
Meet Erin Matt: Executive Director and CEO
Meet Erin!
Erin began her career with United Way MV in March 2018. She started her career in the banking industry, then transitioned into the tech start-up world, with a position at Twitter being her last before joining the United Way team. Although she’s only been leading United Way MV for 3 years, she’s been involved in community/nonprofit work for decades. Erin says “I feel lucky to have been brought to this community and am happy to know my children will get to experience growing up here.”
Meet Jennifer Hagen: Development Coordinator
Meet Jennifer!
Jenn began her career with United Way MV in September 2020, and while she has only been on UW staff for a short time, her journey with United Way began many years ago! She volunteered as an Employee Campaign Coordinator under another organization, served on the Campaign Cabinet, and helped with various fundraising events. Jenn says “Joining the UWMV team is an exciting opportunity to take my love for our community to the next level. I've only been here for a short time, but it already feels like ‘home.’”
