Transportation is vital to helping our community rise.

The Ride United Transportation Access (RUTA) Program, operated by United Way of the Mohawk Valley in partnership with Lyft Transportation, provides essential ride services to low-income individuals and families across Oneida and Herkimer counties. This program covers transportation for a wide range of critical needs, including health/medical/mental health/substance abuse services, essential services, legal services, employment services, childcare services, education services, and housing services. United Way of the Mohawk Valley is committed to breaking transportation barriers and empowering individuals and families to access the opportunities and services they need to thrive.

Introducing Ride United’s New Transportation Subscription Plans! Does your organization need reliable, cost-effective transportation for clients, patients, or employees? United Way of the Mohawk Valley’s Ride United Transportation Program is now offering flexible subscription plans designed to meet your needs while keeping transportation affordable and accessible. With our new tiered packages, you can:

  • reduce transportation barriers for those you serve
  • access concierge booking and priority ride support (available with select plans)
  • receive detailed ride reports and data insights, you can also customize a plan that fits your unique needs

Ride United operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 8 pm

 

Code of Conduct:

All clients are expected to treat drivers, program staff, and fellow passengers with respect and dignity. The following behaviors will not be tolerated and may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the program:

  • physical or verbal abuse, threats, or harassment of any kind.
  • destruction of property or disruptive behavior that interferes with service
  • use of drugs, alcohol, or other illegal substances while utilizing service
  • any action that endangers the safety of the driver, other passengers, or program staff

Non-Discrimination Policy:

The Ride United Transportation Program does not discriminate in the provision of services. No individual will be denied access based on race, color, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other legally protected status.

Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all riders. By participating in this program, clients agree to adhere to these policies. Failure to comply may result in loss of access to Ride United Services.
