Funded Partners Application Information

United Way of the Mohawk Valley is committed to investing in programs that create lasting impact in our community. Every two years, we invite local agencies to apply for funding to support initiatives that align with our mission of improving health, education, and financial stability for individuals and families in the Mohawk Valley. These partners become our Funded Partners.

Becoming a United Way Funded Partner offers more than just financial support. It provides agencies with collaboration opportunities, visibility, and access to valuable resources that enhance their impact.

Eligible organizations must demonstrate how their programs address community needs and drive measurable outcomes. The 2025-2027 Funded Partner Application timeframe was open May 1 to 31, 2025.

 

Eligibility/Criteria for United Way of the Mohawk Valley Funded Partners

  • Must be a non-profit 501c3, government agency, or faith-based organization.
  • This application is for new and previously funded programs through United Way MV.
  • Funded programs will positively focus on the following areas of impact: Health, Financial Stability, or Education outcomes.
  • Programs must have a concrete start date or already be in operation.

Ineligibility/Criteria

  • Capital projects, sports, performance and art classes, and entrepreneurial ventures are not funded.
  • Services that are duplicative of existing services are not funded.

Funded Partners Cycle

Successful applications will be funded from July 1, 2025- June 30, 2026. A second year of funding will be offered to programs that achieve their outcome objectives in the first year as long as UWMV’s 2025 fundraising campaign is successful. This longer funding cycle minimizes the labor required to complete the application process.

Note: The goal of extending funding for two years based on one application is not guaranteed.
