Day of Action

United Way is gearing up for our largest volunteer day - Our Annual Day of Action.

This year, United Way MV is installing United Way Born Learning Trails at Quinn Park in Utica, sponsored by MVCC PA, and Pinti Field in Rome, sponsored by Carbone Chevrolet. Born Learning Trails are a series of interactive signs that offer fun, active learning activities for young children and their families. It helps parents, caregivers and communities create quality engagement opportunities when out on a stroll or visiting a local playground. Focused on early childhood education, this project aligns perfectly with our Ready for Kindergarten (R4K) mission.

Quinn Park is not only getting a Born Learning Trail, as volunteers from First Source Federal Credit Union will be touching up the field house mural, giving the whole park a face lift!

Meanwhile, we'll be joining forces with Berkshire Bank to re-paint their mural on the field house at Proctor Park, with a cool new design that encourages inclusivity, respect, and diversity.

Many thanks to our sponsors for providing funds and materials needed to complete these projects!
