United Way is gearing up for our largest volunteer day - Our Annual Day of Action.
Tentative 2021 Day of Action: June 22
At this years Day of Action, we will be installing United Way Born Learning Trails in parks throughout the Mohawk Valley. Born Learning Trails are a series of interactive signs that offer fun, active learning activities for young children and their families. It helps parents, caregivers and communities create quality engagement opportunities when out on a stroll or visiting a local playground. Focused on early childhood education, this project aligns perfectly with our Ready for Kindergarten (R4K) mission.
Sponsoring a Born Learning Trail is the perfect way to show the community that your company cares.
Please contact Maggie Williams at (315) 733-4691 x 226 or MaggieW@unitedwaymv.org with any questions you may have, or to view sponsorship options.
Recap from 2020
In 2020, United Way MV installed United Way Born Learning Trails at Quinn Park in Utica, sponsored by MVCC PA, and Pinti Field in Rome, sponsored by Carbone Chevrolet.
Quinn Park not only got a Born Learning Trail, as volunteers from First Source Federal Credit Union will be touching up the field house mural, giving the whole park a face lift!
Meanwhile, we joined forces with Berkshire Bank and First Source Federal Credit Union to re-paint murals on the field houses at Proctor Park and Quinn Park, with a cool new designs that encourage inclusivity, respect, and diversity.
Many thanks to our sponsors for providing funds and materials needed to complete these projects!
