United Way MV Announces Susan Litera as CEO

ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. – United Way of the Mohawk Valley’s Board of Directors has hired Susan Litera as CEO. Susan began as CEO of the organization on December 11, 2023.

Susan is an accomplished non-profit executive professional, working in the field for 25 years. She specializes in relationship building, stewardship of donors, and cultivation of staff. She began her career as a journalist and quickly found her niche in the non-profit sector, cultivating donors for major gifts, which led her to start her non-profit to support people in crisis.
 
“The Board of Directors and I look forward to working with Susan in her role,” stated United Way MV Board President Matthew Nicholl. “Susan’s passion for helping people and the community, and many years of non-profit experience, success generating revenue, and strategic planning make her a great fit for this important leadership role in the community.”
 
Having grown up in the backyard of the Mohawk Valley, Litera has collaborated with many regional partners to further a positive impact on the local community. Her team-style approach coincides with United Way of the Mohawk Valley’s mission to leverage the caring power of many and create a thriving community together.
