CrossFit Cares

United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area focuses on our community’s health, education, financial stability, and basic needs.  Good health is both a community responsibility and community benefit.

United Way and five local CrossFit gyms including 12 North CrossFit, CrossFit Exult, CrossFit Mohawk Valley, CrossFit Utica, and CrossFit Exagora, held Family Work-Out Day, Saturday July 14th 2018.

The family-oriented event included workouts tailored to both adults and children of all ages and physical fitness levels.  A $5 donation per family was suggested.  For a donation of $20 or more, participants received a water bottle.  The event raised physical fitness awareness and $1,587.00 in donations.  All proceeds will benefit 10 local programs through United Way, fighting to create a healthier community and improve our collective quality of life.

“There are so many ways to be a part of United Way’s work helping 1 in 4 people right here in our community,” United Way Director of Resource Development Kristyn Bucciero-Beckwith states.  “This event is a great example the impact our small businesses can make by coming together for a cause.”

United Way’s CrossFit Cares is a snapshot of what United Way does all year long, mobilizing people around solutions to build stronger communities.
