United Way of the Mohawk Valley Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Susan Litera, announced two new additions to the Utica team. Based in the Utica office, Andrew Chaney has joined the organization as Director of Finance and Administration, and Sarah Macri has been named Director of Strategic & Development.

“We are excited to add Andrew and Sarah as directors. Both will play vital roles in our mission to create a thriving community by connecting people, resources, and solutions throughout the Mohawk Valley,” stated Litera. 

Chaney will oversee and direct all fiscal management, accounting, budgeting, auditing, building operations, human resources, information system management, and risk management. He comes to the United Way with more than fifteen years of experience in the field of accounting and finance, is a retired officer, and a 22-year Veteran of the United States military. Most recently he served as Controller and Chief Operating Officer with Williams Fence.

Macri will lead the Strategic Impact Committee of staff, volunteers, and board members in implementing the strategic direction and vision of United Way in its efforts to improve community conditions.   Additionally, she will be responsible for the allocations process of investing dollars raised into community programs and initiatives with proven results. She will also serve as the lead staff of the 211 mid York region service, coordinator of the Emergency Food and Shelter program for Herkimer and Oneida county, and director of the Ride United Transportation program. She previously served as Coordinated Entry Systems Administrator with the United Way of the Mohawk Valley and holds a certification from SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).
