United Way Half K

2021 Event Canceled

Not your average run. Not your average cause.

Join United Way for a one-of-a-kind race each fall!

Registration gets you participation in this fun run, early free entrance to Saranac's October Fest, and a swag bag. PLUS 100% of your registration fee benefits United Way MV.

The Runner's Course

Beginning at the REAL Boilermaker finish line (you know, the back parking lot of the Saranac Brewery) this course goes ALL THE WAY around the corner to the Saranac Brewery courtyard, for a whopping total of 500-something yards!

We know that’s asking a lot of some, but don’t worry, take a break at our pretzel and cider stop somewhere near the middle. It would be wise to rest there for a minute.

Once you finish licking salt from your fingers and wiping them on your cool runner's bib, take on the last grueling section of the race (the one that you literally just started running) and stumble across the finish line!

The Finish Line and Runner's Party

There you will enter our runner's party, inside Saranac's Octoberfest! Help yourself to a free adult B-vitamin complex known as beer, or a soft-drink, compliments of Saranac Brewery.

Make sure you grab your barely-deserved, but deservedly cool, oval sticker letting everyone know that on a scale from 1K – 15K, you’re a 1/2K! At least as a runner. As a citizen, you're a gold star! All proceeds will help individuals and families in the Mohawk Valley!

Prizes will be given for First Place Individual, Best Individual Outfit, and Best Team Outfit!

Register as an individual or get a whole team to take part in the second-best-Utica-bestest-shortest race EVER!

Stay tuned for registration details for 2021's event, or better yet, sign up for our newsletter to be sure you don't miss out!
